Our mission is to promote content originality in the education and content creation worlds through our various solutions.
Everything is digital and we realized that while everyone was sharing their content like student assignments and blogs online, there was no comprehensive solution to track how others are using, and in some cases, misusing the content.
How we started
We created Copyleaks after our own content was plagiarized and we were unable to find an automatic solution that tracks where our content was being used.
We frequently came across sites that copied our hard work. We realized that textual copyright was not something understood and an even bigger problem, was the fact that our Google ranking was highly damaged due to duplicate content on the internet and making it harder for our site to be found.
In the education world we found that copying text was prevalent, as many students were not well-informed about what is considered plagiarism, how to correctly use citations, and create original work.
Copyleaks uses highly advanced search software powered by AI technology that combines search results from numerous sources to make sure that content is original. To create the most comprehensive solution, Copyleaks supports many file types, more than 100 languages, and detects multiple word similarity types.
Where we are based
Copyleaks is based in Stamford, Connecticut with a research and development center in Israel.
